Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of https://apnakhatta.in and the ApnaKhatta software service (the "Service") provided by ApnaKhatta ("we", "us"). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these Terms on behalf of yourself and the business you represent.

1. The Service

ApnaKhatta is a web-based software service for billing, inventory, purchases, customers, staff management and reporting for retail businesses. The Service is accessed through a web browser and requires an internet connection.

2. Accounts

  • You must provide accurate information when registering and keep it up to date.
  • The owner account is responsible for all activity under it, including activity by store logins and staff accounts the owner creates, and for the permissions given to them.
  • Keep your passwords confidential and tell us promptly about any unauthorised use.

3. Free trial

New accounts receive a 20-day free trial with access to all features, subject to trial limits on the number of stores and staff. No payment card is required for the trial. At the end of the trial you need a paid plan to continue using the Service.

4. Subscriptions and payment

  • Paid plans, prices and limits are shown on our pricing page. Prices are in Indian Rupees and are inclusive or exclusive of taxes as stated at checkout.
  • Payments are processed by Razorpay. By paying you also agree to Razorpay's applicable terms.
  • If you buy a plan during your free trial, the paid period starts when the trial ends, so you do not lose remaining trial days.
  • Subscriptions do not renew automatically. You renew manually before or after your plan ends.
  • When you change plans, the new plan's limits apply immediately. If your usage is above a lower plan's limits, you may be unable to add more stores, staff or products until you are within the limits.
  • We may change prices for future subscription periods. Changes do not affect a period you have already paid for.

Refunds and cancellations are covered by our Refund Policy and Cancellation Policy.

5. Your data

You own the business data you enter into the Service. You grant us permission to store and process it only to provide and improve the Service, as described in our Privacy Policy. If your plan expires, your data is retained and becomes available again when you renew. You are responsible for the accuracy and legality of the data you enter, including any personal data of your customers and staff.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • use the Service for any unlawful purpose or to record unlawful transactions;
  • attempt to access data belonging to another business or bypass access controls;
  • interfere with, overload or disrupt the Service or its security;
  • copy, resell or reverse-engineer the Service except as allowed by law.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these Terms.

7. Taxes and compliance

You remain responsible for your own tax, invoicing and accounting obligations. The Service is a business tool and does not provide tax, legal or accounting advice.

8. Availability and changes

We work to keep the Service available and reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. We may carry out maintenance and may add, change or remove features from time to time.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service is provided "as is", and we are not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential loss, including loss of profits, revenue or data. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us for the Service in the three months before the claim arose.

10. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access for breach of these Terms or where required by law. You may request deletion of your data as described in our Privacy Policy.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Courts at your city shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from these Terms or the Service.
